Holidays in Tignale at Lake Garda, Italy

The panoramic views from Tignale at the Riviera dei Limoni onto Lake Garda are quite simply breathtaking. This picturesque little town rises up to the world on a wonderful hill between shady woodland and extensive fields. Summers here are pleasantly warm and the winters mild. Tignale is the perfect holiday destination whatever the time of year.

A powerful wind usually blows along the waterside of Tignale to the delight of yachtsmen and surfers. Around Tignale the nature reserve park of upper Lake Garda is a wonderful place to go on long, enjoyable hikes. Indeed, there’s a wide range of options here for hikers and ramblers, from simple walks to challenging hikes. Equally thrilling for mountain bikers are the Alpine foothills: lots of single trails and panoramic roads are sure to get the pulses of cyclists racing. Those in search of more extreme sporting challenges can test themselves to the limit by free-climbing steep rock faces or going canyoning.

Culture vultures will also be delighted by Tignale: the famous pilgrimage church of Montecastello is a must-see and the historical centre of Tignale exudes an incomparable charm. Altogether, Tignale consists of six districts (Aer, Oldesio, Olzano, Piovere, Prabione and the actual centre, Gardola). They are all linked with each other through a network of scenic, winding roads.
