Holidays in San Felice del Benaco at Lake Garda, Italy

Parish Church
The church is the work of Antonio Corbellini, famous architect from Brescia. The church was completed in 1781 and was dedicated to the saints patron: St. Felice, S. Adauto and S. Flavia, whose relics are now kept inside the high altar. Inside you can admire the frescoes of Charles Carloni and Joshua Scotti, while in the sacristy is a valuable report painting by Zenon Veronese. Very beautiful, the altar made of fine marble and variegated by the sculptor John Emanueli in 1858.

Shrine of St. Maria del Carmine
The shrine was built in the 15 th century, the building is very impressive, is an example of Lombard Gothic architecture in its simplest form. The door is arched, with central rosette. Over the past centuries has undergone several restorations.

Santa Maria del Carmine was started in 1460 on a small chapel with the support of Ludovico Gonzaga II and his son Cardinal Francis. It was consecrated in 1482, even if it was already functioning in 1452. Today is a destination for many pilgrims from all over the world.
