Moniga is a haven for connoisseurs at the southern end of Lake Garda. This is where the famous Chiaretto wine is produced: winding, scenic wine routes lead through the growing area of the Chiaretto as far as Salò.
Chiaretto is a dry rosé wine with an exceptionally harmonious bouquet of flowers and fruits. It matures in the wine-growing area of the same name where it acquires its incomparable taste. Chiaretto is the perfect complement to traditional cuisine of the region around Moniga.

Beautiful shingle beaches and placid lakeside water turn Moniga into an adventure playground for the youngsters, and the pretty centre with its imposing castle entices adults to linger and go for a stroll. Moniga also features a superb choice of mountain bike routes leading through olive groves, vineyards and fields. To take one example, the ‘cigno’ (swan) trail starts and ends by the church of the Madonna della Neve, follows the main road along the mountain Delle Monache and continues from there to Solarolo. The way back takes you through the historical centre of Moniga.
