Sights in Brenzone at Lake Garda, Italy

Assenza di Brenzone
The parish church of San Nicola di Bari was built in the Romanesque style during the 14th century. Make sure you check out the frescoes inside.

Isola Trimelone
This little island is located in front of Assenza beach. It was from here that Riva was bombarded during the First World War. You can still visit the massive fortress here today.

Prada Plateau
From Castello a road leads its steep and winding way for 10 km to the scenic Prada Plateau, from where you can take the Costabella aerial cableway up to the Monte Baldo ridge.

Magugnano di Brenzone
Whatever you do here, don’t miss the church dedicated  to John the Baptist together with an extremely impressive 16th century church organ.

Campo di Brenzone
Built in the 14th century, the simple, single-nave church of San Pietro is located here in Campo di Brenzone. It contains fascinating murals by Giorgio da Riva.

Castelletto di Brenzone
This hamlet is home to the convent: ‘Istituto Piccole Suore della Sacra Familia’, one of the largest of its kind by the lake. The friendly nuns are extremely pleased and patient in showing interested visitors about the grounds.

Historical centre
The locality’s centre has a rural feel about it with its little narrow lanes (some of which are completely vaulted), high archways and rustic inner courtyards. Also well worth visiting here is the hamlet of Biazza di Brenzone, which was built on the ruins of an old Scaliger castle. It can be reached along a steep path from the town centre.

Crero di Brenzone
Crero di Brenzone is also known as Rocca dei Graffiti. The prehistoric rock drawings here – graffiti in bygone days – are almost 3,000 years old.
