Travel Seasons
Enjoy Lake Garda at any time of the year! Although only a few hotels are open during the winter, the western shore with its turn-of-the-century style is particularly charming at this time of the year. Springtime with its mild climate is the best time for hiking and rambling, and the first daring surfers can be seen on the lake. During this time of the year, the room prices in hotels are cheaper than in the summer season – except at Easter, when prices are just as high. In summer it can be oppressively hot, and the lake gets more crowded than ever, being as popular with Italians as it is with foreign visitors. The autumn season at Lake Garda can be of breathtaking beauty, with many clear days on which the view from the mountain tops is stunning.
