Sights in Peschiera at Lake Garda, Italy

Fortification
The fortification of Peschiera is shaped like a star and completely surrounded by water. It contains the historical centre and is at the same time the largest military installation on Lake Garda. Today, most of the walls are overgrown with plants and no longer seem hostile at all.

Cathedral of San Martino
The cathedral of San Martino is situated on Piazza Ferdinando di Savoia. Its interior is in the Classicist style and features a towering figurative relief of St. Martin at the entrance.

Santuario Madonna del Frassino
Santuario Madonna del Frassino is a magnificent 16th century pilgrimage church that is located a few kilometres to the south of Peschiera. The church’s interior contains a number of paintings by the Veronese Paolo Farinati.
