Holidays in Castelnuovo at Lake Garda, Italy
Castelnuovo del Garda enjoys an idyllic location among gentle vineyard slopes and olive groves on a hill by the waterfront of Lake Garda. Make absolutely sure you do not miss a visit to the fortified tower, the Rocca e Torre dell'Orologio, the Villa D'Emilei Arvedi or the Chiesetta della Madonna degli Angeli (Cavalcaselle).
Despite all of this Castelnuovo owes its high profile less to its medieval sights than to its leisure park: Gardaland, the largest of its kind in all Italy. The main attractions are the roller-coaster, Italy’s largest dolphinarium (with impressive dolphin and seal shows) and the themed rides. Gardaland’s extremely popular mascot is the dragon Prezzemolo, who lives in a larger-than-life treehouse and even has his own cartoon series in Italy.
In summer Gardaland is open until midnight and offers nighttime light shows as well as a weekly fireworks display. Dragon Prezzemolo and his friends Princess Aurora, Pagüi the bird and Mously the bat are always around, making Gardaland an unforgettable experience for families.
