Take a swim in the Lake Garda
There is something quite marvellous about swimming on your own in the peaceful, clear waters of Lake Garda in the early morning, when hardly anyone else is out and about. Deep blue water, the flashes of the sun on the water, the silvery green of the olive groves, majestic mountain slopes, palm trees in the wind, the brightly coloured sails of the surfers, a ferry sounding its horn as it plies its way, here and there the pinnacles of a proud Scaliger castle – it all adds up to the pleasure of swimming in Lake Garda.
Anyone wishing to cool down in the high summer temperatures will be delighted by the invigorating freshness and unique flair of this wonderful swimming lake. All those seeking an alternative to the relatively steep and rocky shoreline should head further south where the beaches become increasingly wider and flatter – the perfect places for swimming and lazing around in the sun.
Lake Garda’s water quality continued to make it an ideal destination for swimming enthusiasts. In particular, a recent survey indicates that the shore on the lakeside towards Brescia is, in overall terms, the best spot to go swimming. According to this survey all 52 beaches under investigation scored the highest points.
