The legendary Centomiglia sailing regatta takes place every year in September. Boats can be hired from virtually anywhere around here.

Lake Garda is also a typical hiking, mountain bike and climbing area. The beautiful mountains all around beg to be enjoyed on extensive hikes, climbing courses or bike tours. Who knows, perhaps you might even like to try your hand at the somewhat more spectacular version of canyoning?

The delights of the lake are accompanied by the charms of its surroundings. So when you plan your journey, make sure you also leave a day or two for exploring the towns and countryside around the lake! The village of Garda features the dark red Villa Albertini, the church of Santa Maria Maggiore, the pretty Venetian palazzo and castle ruins on a rock offering enchanting views of the area. An unmissable highlight of a visit to Desenzano is a look inside the church of Santa Maria Maddalena with its famous painting of the Last Supper. The Villa Romana, the remains of a large Roman estate, is also a popular destination for a day trip.
